About Me

"Marcus and I grew up in the same Missionary Baptist Church and attended some of the same schools in Greenville, North Carolina. We were both raised to value God, family, hard work, academic excellence, and giving back to our community. Marcus was known to be quiet-natured, shy, respectful, and intelligent. Due to his shy nature, and my own, we were aware of each other back then, but never close. We have become good friends over the years. Marcus and I have offered each other support and Godly advice through challenging divorces, shared insights on personal growth and adaptation to change, and encouraged and celebrated each other’s successes.

Throughout life’s challenges, Marcus has not strayed from the ideals and values instilled in him in his youth. He has matured into a focused, driven, faith-filled man of excellence and a dedicated father to his stepdaughter. In this book, as in life, Marcus freely shares his knowledge and experiences to educate, encourage, and make a positive difference in the lives of others.
